It’s Sexy Time! It’s dancing round the maypole time! It’s feasting time! It’s bonking in the woods time! It’s the beginning of summer time! It’s here! It’s Beltane! May Day or Beltane is the most delicious time in the ritual year. It’s a feast of joy. In fact it’s purpose is to fill you up with joy from the tips of your toes all the way up to your flower crown. Mythologically It’s the meeting of two lovers or a horny god and a May queen to fornicate and procreate. Or it can be seen as the alchemy of two opposing things coming together to form something beautiful. The traditions of Beltane lie in the secret, fecund depths of the woods, but we wanted to to bring the sea and the earth together for this ritual. So we invite you to come to the edge of the land where the sea and the ground meet to a perfect little folly where a Beltane fire glows inside. Here we welcome you to wake up to the purity and innocence of the morning, let the May ribbons fly and create a flower crown to initiate yourself into the sea and the summer. We dare you to join us in baring skin to the sun light, leaping into the cold May water for a vitalising skinny dip (swimwear/swearing optional!).
