**Support the Buzz - Become a BeeWalker ** 🐝 **Bumblebee Identification & BeeWalk Training Day** **At Sheepdrove Organic Farm ** **30 April 2026 | 9:30 – 15:30** Join us at Sheepdrove Organic Farm for a free event hosted by the **Bumblebee Conservation Trust** that will equip you with the skills to identify, monitor and track bumblebee populations on two walking trails. Revisit the walks throughout the bee season until October to become part of the UK scheme to support the bees! _This is the first event, part of a series of bee friendly events with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. _ **Why support the bees?** Our natural environment is in crisis - and so are our bumblebees. Of the 24 species once found across the UK, several are already extinct and many more are in serious decline. Bees are a keystone species, as small insects they play a disproportionately large role in the health and function of global ecosystems. They significantly influence the survival and reproduction of countless plant species, facilitating processes fundamental to maintaining ecological balance, supporting diverse life forms and underpinning the natural cycles our world depends on. But here's the thing… you can do something about it. **Count Them. Know Them. Save Them.** Join us at Sheepdrove Organic Farm for an immersive, hands-on training day that will equip you with the skills to identify, monitor and track bumblebee populations as part of the national BeeWalk monitoring programme by the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. This isn't a one-off event. Volunteers trained on this day will become long-term citizen scientists, carrying forward vital survey work that feeds directly into national conservation data. Your eyes, your effort, your records, genuinely matter. The day begins with expert-led indoor sessions covering bumblebee identification, ecology and survey methodology. Then we head outside onto specific identified walks through the fields and wildflower meadows of Sheepdrove, putting those skills into practice at the very best time of year, Spring! The first queens of the season emerge and the 2026 survey period begins and continues until October. Every walk you complete, every species you record, builds a picture of how nature is recovering, and where more attention is required, informing the conservation decisions that will shape our landscapes for generations. **Anyone can become a BeeWalker.** All you need is some identification knowledge at this event and a few hours or so every month to walk a fixed route of around 1 mile (you choose where it goes), and submit your sightings. What you learn that day, you carry forward for years. **Be Prepared** Please be aware that we will be walking on uneven ground and walking a distance. Bring practical clothes/walking shoes with you and a water bottle. **Don't Let the Bees Disappear on Your Watch.** Tickets are free, book your place here. There are 20 places available. You’re welcome to return to the farm in your own time to complete further bumblebee monitoring on the two walks, or join another guided event again in the series. Contact us for any questions: info@sheepdrove.com 🐝 Find out more about the national monitoring programme BeeWalk: [bumblebeeconservation.org/beewalk](https://www.bumblebeeconservation.org/what-we-do/our-projects/current-projects/trust-led-projects/beewalk/) **The Programme** A morning presentation will provide an overview of the value and natural history of bumblebees and equip you with the skills you need to start identifying and recording the Britain’s most common bumblebee species. The afternoon will be spent in the field, providing an opportunity to net, pot, and identify bumblebees, consolidating your knowledge and building confidence. 9.30 - doors open, coffee/warm drinks 10.00 - start, ecology & surveying presentation 11.00 - coffee break 11.15 - start, ID presentation (Q&A at end) 12.15 – lunch break – please bring your own lunch 13.00 - field session 15.30 - close

## Perimenopause, Menopause & Psychedelics **A panel conversation with leading practitioners and researchers** _Thursday 30th April | 6pm–8pm BST | Online_ * * * ### About This Event Half the world's population will go through menopause. And yet, for decades, the psychological, neurological, and hormonal upheaval that accompanies perimenopause and menopause has been under-researched, under-treated, and far too often dismissed. At the same time, psychedelic medicine is undergoing a quiet revolution — moving from the margins of counterculture into clinical trials and therapy rooms, offering new possibilities for mental health, trauma, and identity. So what happens when we bring these two conversations together? * * * ### What We'll Explore **The biology of transition** We'll begin with the mechanisms - what actually happens hormonally and neurologically during perimenopause and menopause, and why this phase can feel so destabilising. Mood shifts, cognitive changes, disrupted sleep, altered sense of self: these are not just inconveniences. They are physiological events, and understanding them changes everything. **Psychedelics - and why they're interesting here** Psychedelics work, in part, by increasing neuroplasticity, quieting the default mode network, and opening windows of psychological flexibility. As it turns out, the hormonal brain of perimenopause is also in a period of profound change. We'll look at the mechanisms of psychedelic action and explore why this intersection is attracting serious scientific attention. **What the evidence says** We'll survey the current research landscape: what studies exist, what they're finding, and where the gaps are. This is an emerging field - we'll be honest about what we know, what we don't, and what's coming. **How we treat women at this stage of life** A frank conversation about the systemic failures in how midlife women's health has been approached - medically, psychologically, and culturally. What does good care actually look like? What's missing? **How people are already using psychedelics** Beyond the clinical trials, many women are navigating psychedelic experiences in the context of this life transition - with guides, in community, or alone. We'll discuss what's happening on the ground, what's working, and what ethical and safety considerations matter. **Open Q&A with all panellists** The final section is yours. Bring your questions, your experiences, and your curiosity. This is a space for honest, informed, and open conversation. * * * ### Our Panellists **Dr Grace Blest-Hopley** Grace is a neuroscientist whose research sits at the intersection of hormones, brain function, and psychedelic medicine - and one of the few researchers bringing a rigorous scientific lens to the question of how sex hormones shape both the perimenopausal brain and the psychedelic experience. * * * **Lydia** _(Chartered Psychologist & Oxford-trained Psychotherapist)_ Lydia brings over 20 years of experience in adult mental health and holds MAPS training as a Psychedelic-Assisted Practitioner. She consults on clinical trials in psychedelic medicine, with a specialist focus on how hormonal transitions - including perimenopause and menopause - shape women's psychological experience and treatment response. Her current research, developed in partnership with Oxford and the BACP, focuses on how therapists can ethically and skillfully respond when clients bring altered, intensified, or psychedelic-adjacent experiences into the consulting room — a question that becomes especially nuanced in the context of hormonal change. Lydia speaks to the psychological and relational dimensions of menopause, how these states emerge and can be understood therapeutically, and what it means to work with this material responsibly. * * * **Ana Paula Jimenez** _(Women's Health Practitioner & Ecosomatic Therapist)_ Ana Paula holds a Master's in Medical Microbiology and has spent over a decade at the intersection of women's health and technology - leading product and design for four apps across the US and Latin America, with a reach of more than 20,000 women and girls globally. In her private practice, she supports midlife women in reclaiming their vitality and deepening their relationship with their own bodies, weaving together ecosomatic therapy, hormonal health, and psychedelic-assisted healing. She is the founder of **Amawa Academy** , a community devoted to honouring women's bodies and life transitions through education, group experiences, and collective wisdom. Deeply shaped by studies with indigenous wisdom keepers and traditions from the Global South, Ana brings a grounded, soulful, and clinically informed perspective to what it means to be a woman in midlife - and what healing in that season can look like. 🌐 [amawaacademy.com](http://www.amawaacademy.com) | 📱 [@amawa.academy](https://instagram.com/amawa.academy) * * * _Hosted by Hystelica | Tickets: £15 | Questions:_ [_info@hystelica.com_](mailto:info@hystelica.com)

What if, the Breath is a technology you can explore? Through Breathwork – Inhale the heart speeds up. Exhale the heart slows down...What might this mean for you? A continuous questioning to live in to… there are many ways to listen to and through the Body-Mind, with the technology of the Breath. This workshop will consist of an opening circle for us to co-create a safe space for our experiences. We will then explore an introduction to the Breath as technology, which can support you to sense, create and navigate your states of experience. You will be resourced to regulate and calm your Body-Mind with your Breath, supporting your awareness of the nervous system of the Body and your inner atmosphere of Mind. We will then take a rhythmic journey with Conscious Connected Breathing, exploring Breath-holds and pendulating into plateaus of calm on our climb. Then descending down into a state of rest and the beginning of integration. The states experienced in Breathwork are created by you.. they might be soothingly gentle and balancing to enlivening, ecstatic and a myriad of in-between… they can have Psychedelic potential, wether subtle glimmers of relational revelations or full multi sensory meandering of ineffable meaning… or not… in which case there’s a profound cascade of health benefits to embrace! You will be invited to enthuse care and curiosity, listening through out your journey… both welcoming the mystery(ing) and cultivating your connection with your Breath as you journey through inner terrain and atmospheres. Body and Mind. If your new to Breathwork or had experience before you welcome to join… this will be an inclusive space both welcoming those bringing clear intention or open curiosity. If it is your first time exploring Breathwork or you have questions, please do contact me via email. _For those who've been before. This evening Journey is shorter than the day events and we'll be entering into the main journey Conscious Connected Breathing sooner._ ### **Your Journey** **Resourcing:** We will be inviting curiosity and play into our experience. Exploring different practices that can raise your awareness of and capacity with the breath. Wether creating states of rest and rejuvenation, focus and balance or stimulating energy and inviting inspiration. These can be used to support you, both in the day to day and be explored as practices in a deeper way… or braided into other something light and fun. The breath is always here, to both listen to and relate with. **Breath-holds:** We will be exploring what happens when we suspend the Breath, intentionally and with curiosity. Inviting comfort into the breathless space, developing our resilience to stress, increasing CO2 tolerance (a good thing!), and brining awareness to the relation between the flow and volume of our thoughts through the Breath. **Conscious Connected Breathing:** We will then guide you through a process of Conscious Connected Breathing, a simple yet profound rhythmic breathing practice. One of braiding willpower and kindness into the inhale, then inviting acceptance and letting go through the exhale, this is done whilst laying down with Jez and other Breathwork facilitators holding the space. As well as increasing your physical capacity for the breath, this can induce a full spectrum of experiences, from ecstatic states to physical and emotional release, to states of deep rest, calm, and everything in-between. You will be supported in both the intention of and the listening within your journey. **Integration:** After the journey ends, we will have time to rest, beginning our processes of integrating, and have an opportunity to share our experiences. There will be some unstructured space after the event ends to connect over tea, fruit and chocolate. Our aim is to facilitate an experience of your own power with the breath, whilst in a co-created safe space. Introducing the breath as technology for you to integrate into your life, available for you to support navigating your states. ### **Welcome to The Inner Work Lab: a Faciliated Self-Discovery Workshop!** A guided, interactive session to help you understand the patterns shaping how you think, feel and relate to others. This is not a passive lecture. It’s a structured, reflective experience where you’ll actively explore your personal patterns through psychological concepts, guided exercises, and meaningful group dialogue. You’ll arrive as strangers, be guided into thought-provoking conversations, and leave with greater clarity about yourself and possibly a few like-minded connections. We have a max capacity of 30 people, so grab your tickets before we are sold out. Buy your ticket now here: [https://tinyurl.com/4ujtdzj9](https://tinyurl.com/4ujtdzj9.)[.](https://tinyurl.com/4ujtdzj9.) ### **This is for you if:** - You’re curious about psychology and self-development - You want to understand your patterns - You value meaningful conversations over surface-level networking - You’re open to reflection in a structured setting ### **What You Will Walk Away With** - Greater clarity on how you think, feel, and relate to others - Insight into how your past experiences influence your current behaviour - Language to better understand your relational dynamics (e.g. roles like victim, rescuer, persecutor) - A more grounded sense of your values and what drives your decisions - Meaningful conversations that go beyond surface-level interaction - A feeling of connection, both to yourself and to others in the room ### **How Will This Work in Practice?** _We start at 19:00. Arrive a couple of minutes early to grab a drink and get your tickets scanned. We finish at 21:45._ When you arrive, you will be welcomed into the space, with a few minutes to settle in before we begin. We’ll start with a short introduction and a simple icebreaker to help everyone feel more comfortable. From there, I’ll guide you into the first exercise, a structured reflection where you’ll map out key moments that have shaped who you are. You’ll first reflect individually (please bring a notebook and pen), and then share parts of your reflections in small groups. We’ll then come back together as a group to debrief and connect some of the themes that emerge. In the second part, we’ll explore relational patterns through a psychological framework (Transactional Analysis), looking at common roles we tend to fall into (the victim, rescuer, and persecutor). This will again include guided reflection and small group conversations, with prompts designed to help you recognise your own patterns. Depending on the group size and timing, we may also include a short values exercise, helping you clarify what drives your decisions and how that shows up in your day-to-day life. The session is guided throughout, with a balance of individual reflection, small group discussion, and shared insight. We’ll close with a short reflection, followed by optional time to continue conversations. **Location: ** [**Love Shack**](https://www.loveshackldn.com/) Hosted at **Love Shack** , a beautifully designed, community-driven space hidden behind a bookshelf entrance. Known for its warm atmosphere and thoughtfully curated events, it’s the perfect setting for meaningful conversation and reflection. **About the Facilitator** I'm Dina, a Leadership Development Consultant and Coach working with global organisations, where I design and facilitate workshops focused on deep self-awareness, behaviour change, and interpersonal dynamics. I hold a Master’s degree in Organisational and Social Psychology, and my work sits at the intersection of psychology, facilitation, coaching and behaviour change. Alongside corporate work, I run community-based experiences, designed to bring people together through common interests, such as chess and vinyl nights or psychedelics-related discussion afternoons. This session is part of a broader intention: making high-quality inner work more accessible outside corporate environments. **Pricing** This is an early iteration of the experience, so tickets are intentionally priced lower while I continue to shape and refine the format. There’s also an option to choose a supporter ticket, which helps sustain future sessions and keep this experience accessible to others. If you’re unsure whether this is for you, or interested in collaborating, please do reach out, I’m always happy to connect.
Some years ago, I ran a whole course or two to share powerful healing and shamanic journeys I had experienced in my personal practice or healing work. In those journeys, I had met with particularly influential spirit guides or I had experienced deep healing and/or discoveries for the body, mind, heart & soul. At the request of clients, I have agreed to put together some of these sessions again alongside meditation practices that support the healing and journeying work. These groups will be of great interest to: - those who are on a healing journey - those who are on a path of spiritual and self-discovery - those who are soul searching - those who are curious or intrigued about shamanic journeying, healing practices and working with spirit guides - those who wish to learn, expand or deepen their meditation practices This 2nd session will begin by exploring a spiritual protection practice. We will use a simple movement based energy healing technique for release stress to create the right conditions for the final meditation practice: going on a healing meditation journey "The well of healing waters" which will be deeply relaxing as well as healing for all aspects of your being. The aim of the session is that you will go home: - knowing how to use a simple way of protecting your energy by visualising or feeling into a practice - with a great way to relieve stress using one of the radiant circuits practices - relaxed and ready for a long, deep sleep - having welcomed healing for whatever you may need at this time - physical healing, mental/emotional healing or healing for the spirit - inspired and wanting to join the classes that follow! The journeys I have planned for this future sessions in this series (alongside other meditation, self awareness & development and grounding practices) include: - meeting with the 'soul mother' and possibly the 'storyteller' entities to gain understanding and wisdom for your current existence and purpose, and perhaps to explore a past incarnation and its impact on your current lifetime - a journey to meet with a spirit guide that takes the form of an animal - cord cutting from unhelpful people, places or memories - a soul journey for atonement & clearing karma- ascension to the oneness - and many more! You may go deep into spaces of the mind, body & spirit, so allow yourself to be open. You will be invited to journal, share or discuss your experiences for those who would like to. Thick yoga mats, meditation cushions (or chairs) & blankets are available to borrow, although you are welcome to bring your own or additional padding. It is recommended that you bring a bottle of water.

**“I realised that I can seduce myself and open up for so much more pleasure…”** MMMM.. are you ready? Come what May is a Sexual Wellness non-profit led by a team of Sex Educators, Facilitators and Practitioners. - It’s time we honour ourselves & our pleasure, treat our bodies with love and take our sexual relationship into our own hands... quite literally. And there's no better time than May, International Masturbation Month, but with our own little spin. This month is an opportunity to re-ignite, re-sensitise & re-connect with your sex, mindfully & consciously. - Have you ever REALLY self pleasured? Or do you tend to go through the motions for a very quick, often unsatisfactory, outcome? What has your relationship to masturbation & self pleasure looked like? How connected are you truly to yourself, your body, your own desires, needs & boundaries when being intimate with yourself? - Self pleasure, also known as mindful masturbation, is a chance to connect to yourself in a conscious way & reprogram your connection to yourself & your genitals. To shift gears, and reignite this connection, bringing in more sensuality, sensitivity and conscious honouring. - During this month we will hold a safe, free container in which we can explore this relationship. Join us for a month of fortnightly sharing circles in which we can explore topics and discoveries as we go. We’ll also be sharing guided meditations, pleasureful playlists to get you going & self pleasure journeys with you as we go. All to encourage this new connection, breaking old patterns, shifting barriers such as shame or disconnection & more. This is an opportunity to dive deeper into your own sexuality & love for your body & sexual energy, while being in a group of like minded individuals to support one another and help with accountability. Wherever you are in your journey and whatever you’re working through, whether alone or in relationship with others, deepening your self pleasure practice is the perfect place to start. It is the foundations for your sexuality to flourish in the ways you desire. - **TESTIMONIALS:** “Joining MMMM has been a powerful move to land more into my pleasure. The space was held wonderfully by the facilitators and the group was great support. Mostly it wss great to have a focus on your own pleasure. There are fun exercises, and its been such a great gift to explore my own pleasure in new dimensions. Will do this again this year because its been so playful, juicey and fun to do! Yummy container to connect to yourself, discover your own sexual power and own your sensuality.” “I’ve attended MMMM container last May and it’s been a unique experience on my path to a more conscious relationship with my sexuality. As it usually happens with the offerings from Cum.What.May, this one was another beautiful surprise - I loved that it allowed me to shift my perception of masturbation completely. This experience came with a lot of learnings about my body and opened so much more creativity in my self-pleasure practices. I learned to approach my body with more love and curiosity, slowness, creativity, and most importantly - I realised that I can seduce myself and open up for so much more pleasure! It’s amazing to explore this topic in a safe container with other curious and loving beings too” All bodies welcome. You can join us for MMMM alongside Cum Not May, for those joining the movement. See you soon for a mmmm juicy May!
Come What May is a Sexual Wellness non-profit led by a team of Sex Educators, Practitioners and Facilitators. Our intention is to create safe spaces for people to dissolve their shame and find their truest sexual expression. Cum Not May is our flagship month, in which we use semen retention as a tool for men to become mindful about their bodies and their sexual practices. Cum Not May will host fortnightly Circles for male bodies to share about their experience, held in a vulnerable, supportive container by the Come What May Leadership team and Circle Graduates. There is free access to Come What May's online platform which has specific content on semen retention and energetic orgasmicity. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Semen retention has been known to have many health benefits and has been a practice documented for over 8000 years in Ancient China, as well as by philospohers such as Socrates and Plato. However, the majority of men in our generation have not explored this practice, or if they have, may not have had the discipline to stick with it over time. This is an opportunity for you to be mindful about how it feels to retain; will you have more energy? Will you have less energy? How does it affect your sleep or your relationship with your partner? During this month you will explore yourself on a much deeper level, alongside like-minded brothers who will support your journey and keep you accountable. **TESTIMONIALS:** “Thank you guys for a very beautiful month, so many things to be grateful for. I fell in love with my cock again and realised how beautiful, powerful and energetic it is. I did cum at the end but it was very intentional and very beautiful.” -- “Thanks brothers for this month and this wonderful community - thanks for all the shares, all the space held. This is really important work that is being done here.” -- “Thanks to everyone who took part I’ve benefited massively from just being involved in the group, it’s been a powerful and beneficial month ” -- “My self-pleasure practice just keeps getting better and better. Noticing that last May, the way I got through the month of non-ejaculation was mostly by active distraction away from my cock (with the exception of a few pleasure sessions.) But this month there has been a much deeper connection to my cock and what his deeper needs are. Then I'm offering that in the self-pleasure. It's been hard not to ejaculate but I'm really meeting my edges and giving myself lots of time after self-pleasure to do yoga, sexual kung-fu, exercise and meditation to transmute any stagnant energy. It's bringing me so much peace and I almost can't believe I can allow myself to feel this much pleasure without losing any energy through ejaculation? Like this could become a daily thing? What???” -- “Guys! Had the craziest self pleasure practice a few days back. Just sublime.” -- “Feeling so much energy in my cock and balls right now and needing to be doing lots of movement and Kundalini Yoga to keep it moving 😆” \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ Please note that this is not a NoFap event. Come What May is not promoting semen retention as a tool to reduce male pleasure, rather this month is created to expand your pleasure potential! Come What May has created this month as a container to explore curiosity. Everyone is different, therefore semen retention will have a unique and personalised effect on each person. Semen Retention could have benefits for you, or it may not, but how will you know if you're never given it a go...?

Fiona has such a wealth of knowledge that she shared so freely, but she also held the whole experience so lovingly and effortlessly that I left feeling loved, refreshed, inspired and somehow having gained a bigger picture of the world in general. The venue was amazing as you would expect. Great yoga space and a garden teeming with life and abundance, to sit in after class to reflect and read. The food also deserves a mention as it was utterly delicious and so plentiful I turned into quite a pig! All in all an excellent experience that I highly recommend to all. **S, Derby** Viveka Gardens is beautifully peaceful, Fiona does an incredible job of opening her space with gentleness and freedom to just be! There is a real sense of her coming alongside you wherever you are at in life, and I felt very nurtured by two days of yoga – not to mention wonderful vegan food and lots of laughs **A, Oxford** It’s a beautiful place, well off the beaten track, and a haven of peace. Fiona is a warm and inspiring host, and we were very comfortable and well fed with delicious vegan meals made using produce Fiona had grown. The yoga space is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was wonderful to feel so supported together in sharing teaching, practice and laughter. I felt thoroughly nourished and rested by the end. My only gripe was that the retreat wasn’t for 4 nights. Hoping to return very soon… **R, Hackney**

**As blossoms return and the earth breathes new life, this year’s Beltane Bhakti Gathering begins on Beltane itself—a celebration of spring, renewal, and fertility. An auspicious time to open our hearts to the great mystery of life.** **Our theme this year is** _ **The Divine Mystery** _ **.** Life is never fully graspable—there is always something greater moving through us, holding and guiding us. When we rest in this mystery, we open to deeper trust, presence, and connection. In Hindu tradition, Lord Shiva embodies transformation—both creation and dissolution—while Shakti represents the living energy of existence. Together, they remind us that life is both stillness and movement. At the gathering, we honour this union through sacred rituals such as Lingam puja, where we offer to the infinite beyond form. Through chanting, ceremony, meditation, yoga, nourishing food, and chai, we come together in celebration—grounded and cosmic, practical and infinite. **Whether Bhakti is new to you or already close to your heart, you are warmly invited. Come as you are. And if you can’t join the full festival but still wish to experience a taste of this beautiful gathering, you are very welcome to join us for the day.** _ **Please note: Camping is not included with multi-day tickets. If you need special arrangements, feel free to get in touch—we’ll do our best to support you. There’s a dedicated kids’ area with arts and crafts available throughout the day. A special kids’ lunch and dinner menu will also be offered, served during the regular lunch hours.** _

It differs from how the dominant culture has programmed us to think and communicate and thus requires us to engage in a little rewiring of our brains! NVC tools and skills allow us to cultivate: - A deeper understanding of and connection with ourselves and others in a way that facilitates more life enriching experiences. - Clarity of understanding about where we get stuck, and how our habits and patterns of behaviour manifest in how we relate to ourselves and others. - Insight into how our relationships with others are truly unfolding. NVC has been and continues to be used across the globe in personal relationships with the self and others, as well as within organisations like hospitals, schools, prisons, NGOs and businesses (e.g. Friends of the Earth, Microsoft, FMO etc.). Its tools support individual development and personal relationships, whilst maintaining an awareness of systemic issues. **Where does Nonviolent Communication come from?** American [psychologist](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychologist), mediator, author and teacher, Dr Marshall Rosenberg (1934–2015) started to developed [nonviolent communication](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonviolent_communication) in the early 1960’s as a process for supporting partnership and resolving conflict within and between people, relationships and society. Working worldwide as a peacemaker, Marshall Rosenberg's motivation for developing NVC was based on his own personal experiences of the [1943 Detroit race riot](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_race_riot_of_1943), as well as his early life experiences of [antisemitism](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism). For more on Marshall Rosenberg, see [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Rosenberg). **What is NVC Foundation Training?** A foundation training covers all the main ingredients of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Whilst the NVC framework is simple enough, it takes practice to integrate it into our ways of being. A foundation training is for people who are new to NVC, as well as for those who have attended such training before and really want to embed the practice further or feel a little rusty in their practice. **How is the training delivered?** Mindful of different learning styles, we use hand outs, flip charts, Q&As and other pedagogical techniques as part of the training, including whole group work, small groups and work in pairs / trios. The focus will be on practicing what we are learning. Bringing a notebook to help you absorb, reflect on and revisit the learning is recommended. **Below are some links to support your initial learning if you should choose. (optional)** I would highly recommend Marshall Rosenberg book ' a language for life' [https://puddledancer.bookstore.ipgbook.com/nonviolent-communication--a-language-of-life-products-9781892005281.php](https://puddledancer.bookstore.ipgbook.com/nonviolent-communication--a-language-of-life-products-9781892005281.php) Here is a short video with Marshall Rosenberg describing NVC [https://youtu.be/fg2yiG\_pjlI](https://youtu.be/fg2yiG_pjlI)

Come and relax with us during this evening of Gong bath, meditation, mindfulness and Reiki energy. Take part in this circle, set your intentions and wishes. Let the Gongs be your allies, relax your nervous system and raise to the vibrations you deserve.. Geraldine Emmanuelle will be creating a safe and held space for you to truly rest and release. She will use her voice and mesmerising sound healing instruments along the Gongs to bring a deep sense of self and grounding. Bringing awareness and appreciation of the present moment… @reikisoundhealing4all **WHAT IS A GONG BATH?** Gong Bath is a sound massage originating from Kundalini Yoga. This is a sound and vibrational journey that can be therapeutic by promoting relaxation, healing and body/mind balance through cellular vibration. It acts on the frontal cortex of the brain, acts on stress by toning the vaginal nerve. It calms the mind, anxiety, opens space for relaxation, healing and transformation. Gongs are sacred healing instruments used in rituals for 6000 years. **Gong Bath Benefits** • Stress Reduction and Relaxation: Immerse yourself in the powerful tones of a gong bath and feel the weight of stress and tension dissolve. The soothing vibrations work to calm the nervous system, promoting deep relaxation and a sense of tranquility. • Enhanced Meditation and Mindfulness: The resonant sounds of the gong act as a gateway to deeper states of meditation and mindfulness. As the mind becomes entrained to the gong’s frequencies, it becomes easier to access a state of inner stillness, heightened awareness, and expanded consciousness. • Emotional Release and Healing: The vibrational qualities of the gong have the ability to penetrate deep within the energetic and emotional layers of our being. A gong bath can facilitate the release of stagnant emotions, allowing for catharsis, inner healing, and a renewed sense of emotional well-being. • Renewed Energy and Vitality: The dynamic interplay of sound during a gong bath can help restore the natural flow of energy within the body. As the gong’s vibrations gently stimulate and realign the body’s energy centers, a sense of revitalization and balance can be experienced. • Personal Growth and Transformation: The transformative nature of gong baths invites profound personal growth and self-discovery. Through the practice of surrendering to the sounds of the gong, one can explore hidden aspects of the self, gain clarity, and open the door to new possibilities.

A unified field of Being emerges and we feel both wild and free, contained within ourselves And connected to something much, much greater than our individual selves. 2. Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment 3. No photos or videos, Mobile phones muted and out of sight 4. Care/Awareness for the co-created space and each other 5. Move your body however you wish 6. No spectating. Stay connected to your own body, sensations, emotions, and feelings. Ecstatic Dance is about you and your relationship to the Dance. Dancers feel uncomfortable when being spectated at. Come prepared to Dance yourself free from inhibitions! 7. You can dance alone, or with as many partners as (you) like to join. (If you’d rather not dance with someone, thank them for the offer by placing your hands in prayer position at your heart – Namaste. Thank you, no thank you.) 8. This is not a pick up place. Please respect all dancers (especially women) and do not ask for anyone's contact details. If you wish to stay in touch with someone, give them your email instead of asking for their contact details. No means no. > _"Our bodies instinctively know what feels good or bad, right or wrong. However, often our heads get in the way. Ecstatic Dance is about finding our way through to what feels good. How can we use dance to consciously transform towards finding joy, without denying our anger or sadness? Ask yourself: what’s my body feeling in this moment? Does it feel good moving this way, or that? Does it feel nourishing to dance with another, or dance solo? Where do I most feel connected with Self? Let your body lead the way." ~ Abigail Harris_ ### **💜 ALL UPCOMING WELLBEING EVENTS, RETREATS, FESTIVALS +CREWING:** **Website: ** [ecstaticdancelondon.com/events](https://ecstaticdancelondon.com/events/) **Linktree:** [linktr.ee/ecstaticdancelondon](https://linktr.ee/ecstaticdancelondon) **Instagram:** [@ecstaticdance\_london](https://www.instagram.com/ecstaticdance_london) **Mailing list: ** [https://ecstaticdancelondon.myflodesk.com/we-are-london](https://ecstaticdancelondon.myflodesk.com/we-are-london) **💛FREE CREW SPACES:** We'd be very happy to hear from you if you'd like to help us in exchange for a free ticket! Looking forward to nightingale season is something that helps get me through winter, but many people, even those who’ve lived in Berlin for years, have never heard one (or don’t realize they have). I’d like to change that! Berlin is home to the largest urban population of Nightingales in Europe and from mid April till the end of May you can hear them in the bushes, singing their little hearts out around midnight until the wee hours of the morning. The parks can be kind of spooky after dark, so I’d like to offer guided walks, where we learn about this sonic genius and listen to as many of them as we can find, letting our ears guide us. The first time I heard one of these birds it blew my mind, they can make some sounds so intense your eardrums will vibrate! Berlin’s best more-than-human DJs are not to be missed! **Wear/Bring:** Water, headlamp or flashlight (ideally one with a red light mode, for your night vision), shoes that can get dirty, and long (white) socks in case of bites (tick season has started), bug spray for mosquitos.
Come as you are. so if you can’t join the full festival but still wish to experience a taste of this beautiful gathering, you are very welcome to join us for the day.** _Please note: Camping is not included with multi-day tickets. If you need special arrangements, feel free to get in touch—we’ll do our best to support you. There’s a dedicated kids’ area with arts and crafts available throughout the day. A special kids’ lunch and dinner menu will also be offered, served during the regular lunch hours._ _ _
## INTO THE BREACH A wonderful comedy written and performed by Mark Carey (What’s Wrong with Benny Hill?) and produced by Stratford Theatre Company (Three Men in a Boat, Old Herbaceous, Dead on Cue). It’s “Dad’s Army meets The Vicar of Dibley!” George Crocker is keen to liven up his dull life so he decides to join the village Drama Club hoping to play the panto dame. What happens next turns his world upside down and instead he finds himself taking on the role of Henry 5th! Set during the Second World War this original, inspiring show is suitable for everyone and with one actor playing all 17 parts you can guarantee it’s going to be a hoot! As a member of the Royal National Theatre Company Mark Carey worked on Betrayal, The Relapse and The Merchant of Venice all for Trevor Nunn and has had many appearances on TV in such shows as The Invincibles, Widows, Murphy’s Law, Underbelly, London’s Burning and most recently Doctors and Luther. Mark’s many radio appearances include Wuthering Heights, Ashes to Antarctica, The Kingsnorth Six, and The Archers. “The quality of acting and writing is as good as any you will see. A deep and nuanced story. Every character drips with personality and charm.” **The Cheltenham Standard** “A great little show. It’s “Dads’ Army meets “The Vicar of Dibley”. **London Metro** “A delight, a lovely and very humorous play that fully merited the standing ovation.” **Stratford Herald** “Mark Carey shows amazing dexterity and comic skill in playing all 17 parts.” **The Stage**
It’s Sexy Time! It’s dancing round the maypole time! It’s feasting time! It’s bonking in the woods time! It’s the beginning of summer time! It’s here! It’s Beltane! May Day or Beltane is the most delicious time in the ritual year. It’s a feast of joy. In fact it’s purpose is to fill you up with joy from the tips of your toes all the way up to your flower crown. Mythologically It’s the meeting of two lovers or a horny god and a May queen to fornicate and procreate. Or it can be seen as the alchemy of two opposing things coming together to form something beautiful. The traditions of Beltane lie in the secret, fecund depths of the woods, but we wanted to to bring the sea and the earth together for this ritual. So we invite you to come to the edge of the land where the sea and the ground meet to a perfect little folly where a Beltane fire glows inside. Here we welcome you to wake up to the purity and innocence of the morning, let the May ribbons fly and create a flower crown to initiate yourself into the sea and the summer. We dare you to join us in baring skin to the sun light, leaping into the cold May water for a vitalising skinny dip (swimwear/swearing optional!). Before swiftly grabbing your towel and feasting on life-changing cake, super-charged teas and our signature magical libations to herald in this frisky time of year.
A RITUAL FOR GRIEF Combining ritual, community, and emotional healing. WHAT IS A GRIEF RITUAL? Short answer: Grief is a natural part of life, but in the modern world we have lost our way with it. Too often we carry it alone. This Grief Ritual offers a sacred, communal space to honour loss, release sorrow, and reconnect with joy. We gather as a community to witness and support one another on this one-day journey. Grief is a natural response to loss. The more we love and value someone or something, the deeper we feel the loss. Most of us these days have not experienced the power of being supported in ritual, rather than just weeping alone. “People need to grieve but have no culture in which to really do it” Martín Prechtel We struggle with all sorts of griefs, big and small – bereavements, broken relationships, lost dreams and hopes, loss of land and place, climate grief, ancestral grief we’re carrying for our forbears, sometimes unbeknownst to us. Life can be hard in all sorts of ways, and often it is our unaddressed grief that sits on top of everything, making us low, numb, and even angry, or just taking the shine off things. It’s astonishing how much can change in a single day - all you need is a willingness to participate. Here's a comments from a participant ……… _……I came away feeling that I had just done something that was very healthy, for me as an individual and for the group that took part, and in some way that I don't understand for the wider world too. An individual and a social healing at the same time......._ The active expression of grief can soften it and move it along. This perspective can feel counterintuitive to us if we have been brought up to view the suppression of emotion as ‘being strong’. Scientific studies are now seeming to show that in shedding tears tears we excrete stress hormones, release mood-boosting hormones, and even relieve emotional and physical pain, all of which serves to restore us to improved physical and mental health. It’s likely that all cultures have known functional grief practices – and some still retain them. One such are the Dagara people of West Africa, whose elders sent the gifted teacher, Dr Malidoma Somé, to share their indigenous knowledge as a healing gift for us modern folk. This profound Grief Ritual works not only on the level of psychological and emotional need, but also engages deeply with the world of Spirit – the flow of natural energies of which we are a part. This gives it profound healing power beyond the mundane. The effects can flow beyond us as individuals, as we honour our ancestors and help to put old ghosts to rest. By bringing us into greater harmony and balance, and restoring connection and flow within our ancestral lines, it brings healing to our whole world. For more information about logistics or payments please contact John at [freegull@hotmail.co.uk](mailto:freegull@hotmail.co.uk) For more information about the ritual please contact John at [freegull@hotmail.co.uk](mailto:freegull@hotmail.co.uk) Kathryn at [kathrynedwards50@gmail.com](mailto:kathrynedwards50@gmail.com) **TICKETS** We offer a sliding scale of ticket prices. Contact John to discuss Concession: a limited number of tickets for those in circumstances needing a discount or stage payments. Contact John to discuss CLICK RIGHT HAND TICKET PANEL TO BOOK. _ **EARLY BIRDS** _ Some more detailed information _How the day looks_ We offer a day of intense healing for broken hearts and bruised spirits. A day spent in the company of others, where you can grieve as part of a community, supporting and being supported. We begin the day by considering the nature of grief and sharing experiences, before creating a physical, ritual space for grief to flow. It is amazing how quickly this ritual space comes together; some ancient and wise part of us knows just what to do. Once the ritual starts, everyone is invited, through song and dance, tears and their own personal forms of expression, to offer up whatever is weighing them down. This activity has a natural flow and we find our body knows how to grieve. When done communally this process is not so overwhelming. ......_..I liked that we made the shrines, which made the space ours. The concept of the village and the welcome each participant got on their return was lovely...........Everything about it was presented clearly. There was nothing that I didn’t like about the day…………I was amazed watching strangers physically change into a community through singing, drumming, dancing, doing ritual together. Incredible in such a short space of time..........It was a positive experience and will be long remembered as a highlight of the year..........Had a huge internal shift and increased feeling of supportive connection with some ancestors…_.. This ritual draws on the cathartic funeral practices of the Dagara people in Burkina Faso, West Africa. It was crafted by Dr Malidoma Somé of the Dagara tribe as a direct response to the burdens of grief that he saw were crushing those of us living in modernity. ‘Grief takes us to the top of the hill and then lets us walk back down slowly, peacefully. It helps relieve the person who is in sorrow and leads them towards acceptance of the phenomenon of death, separation and love.’ (Malidoma Somé, Dagara Elder). **Note** : We tithe our income from our Grief Rituals to contribute to wellbeing projects in Burkina Faso in gratitude for the gift of this medicine. OUR RITUAL FACILITATORS: KATHRYN EDWARDS had a life-changing encounter with Dr Malidoma Somé when she learned – experientially – how ritual creates and sustains community. She studied Dagara wisdom, including the theory and practice of ritual, with Malidoma for two decades in the US and in Europe. Kathryn was frequently invited to visit his village in Burkina Faso, West Africa, and eventually acted as co-tour-manager for Western study groups there. Kathryn was particularly inspired by the beauty and healing effects of Dagara funerals. Her spontaneous childhood practice had been to bury dead birds in a shoebox with pomp and flowers, so becoming a funeral celebrant for humans was a natural progression. She apprenticed herself to a progressive undertaker, to be better informed about the care of the dead. She went to weep at Malidoma’s own funeral in Burkina Faso in 2022. Kathryn believes that working with ritual technology will fortify us, as modernity unravels in the face of the climate emergency. kathrynedwards50@gmail.com JOHN SCAIFE has studied and practised extensively with the Dagara teachers Malidoma and Sobonfu Somé in the UK, and also with Martin Prechtel in the UK and at his ‘Bolad’s Kitchen’ school in New Mexico, having been introduced to them by poet and ‘men’s movement’ leaders, poet Robert Bly and mythologist Michael Meade, in the 1990s. During this time he also learnt from James Hillman and Robert Moore. He is an experienced ritualist (especially rites of passage for men and women, and in grief work), a cowrie-shell diviner and accomplished storyteller. John grew up in Northumberland. He regularly returns to run his favourite beach and walk the Cheviots. He now lives in Sussex. www.recastpath.life NEED TO KNOW MORE, STILL UNCERTAIN ? On the first Saturday of each month, you’re invited to join us for a deeply nourishing singing session designed to leave you feeling joyful and restored. We play with rhythm, vocal meditation and sound bathing, and learn juicy close harmony arrangements across various genres including folk, soul, blues, funk and jazz. These singing sessions are welcoming, inclusive, wellbeing-focused gatherings where people come together to sing, breathe, play and connect. Each session is shaped so that we learn full arrangements, meaning you’ll leave having learnt a complete song to sing in harmony with others. There is also space for improvisation and circle singing, allowing the music to unfold naturally and giving you the freedom to explore and make it your own within a held, supportive space. Rooted in ancient traditions, these sessions draw on the way humans have sung together for thousands of years for healing, ritual and connection. Singing slows the breath, calms the nervous system, lifts mood and fosters a powerful sense of belonging. These sessions are playful, grounding and holistic — a chance to connect, be challenged musically, and feel part of a warm, like-minded community. Everything is taught by ear, and everyone is welcome.
## It's that time of year when nature bursts into bloom, and gets a little sexy. Did you know that blossoms and flowers are actually the plant's sex organs, open and ready to be fertilised? Nature isn't shy about it. Sometimes our bodies tune into that same rhythm. We feel alive, juicy, electric. And sometimes we feel the exact opposite: flat, disconnected, far from our own pleasure. _ **But where do we go to talk about that?** _ We talk about the weather. About work, holidays, weekend plans. All the safe, surface things. When do we talk about something that actually matters: our bodies, our desire, what lights us up and loads us down? Join this free\* Women's Sharing Circle: a space to share honestly how pleasure is (or isn't) showing up in your life right now. This isn't a workshop. There's nothing to learn or do. It's simply a place to give and receive the medicine of being truly seen, in your vulnerability and your authenticity. ## Together we will explore themes such as: - How your relationship to your own sensuality has shifted over time - Where you perform pleasure rather than truly feel it - What wakes up your sensual body, and what shuts it down - Where you feel "not enough" or "too much" in your sensuality To help create as safe a space as possible, clear guidelines around confidentiality and respectful conversation will be sent to you ahead of the event. ## **This is for you if you:** - Are curious about your own relationship to pleasure but rarely get to talk about it - Sometimes feel disconnected from your body or your sensuality - Find yourself putting your own pleasure at the bottom of a very long list - Want to be in honest conversation with other femmes about the stuff that usually stays private ### This circle is a free taster and an introduction to [**The Women's Fire**](https://dandelion.events/e/womensfiremembership) **…** Which is a vibrant community gathering in person and online throughout the year, using the wheel of the year as a guide for inner reflection and a deeper connection with nature. This is not just a session. It is an invitation. A quiet doorway opening within the noise of your life… a moment where the world softens its grip, and something ancient within you begins to stir. This is an invitation for you — a sacred remembering. A space where you are gently guided back home to yourself. Beneath the layers shaped by survival… beneath the stories, expectations, and roles you’ve carried… there flows a deeper current of you. A living intelligence. A quiet flame waiting to rise. Some call it Kundalini — the coiled life force resting at the base of your being, not asleep, but patiently waiting for the moment you are ready to remember who you truly are. When this energy awakens, it does not force. It whispers. It moves through you like a remembering river, softening the past and illuminating hidden chambers of your heart. You may feel it as warmth… as a subtle trembling of truth… as a deep inner knowing that the life meant for you has always been within you. Kundalini activation is not about becoming someone new. It is about releasing what was never yours to carry. Layer by layer, breath by breath, You begin to meet yourself again — whole, luminous, and deeply alive. If something within you stirs as you read this… trust it. Some awakenings do not arrive with thunder. They begin with a whisper that says: Come home.
Biodanza is an embodied practice of movement for wellbeing. The word means Dance of Life. It is a form of “conscious dance” where the emphasis is on the inner experience, not on steps or performance. However it differs from other conscious dance modalities such as 5Rhythms or Ecstatic Dance in that it is much more about contact and connection; it is also more structured. Biodanza comes from South America. It was created by Rolando Toro in Chile in the 1960’s and came to Europe in the 1990s. Regular participants report feelings of wellbeing, more joy and confidence in life, and improved health and relationships. Not bad for a few hours dancing? A typical session lasts one to one-and-a-half hours. You are guided through a sequence of effortless natural movements supported by uplifting music. The first half of the class is more lively, the second half more relaxing. It’s a chance to make friends with your body and give your brain a holiday. You are encouraged to dance barefoot (soft shoes are OK if necessary) and without talking. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in, and bring water to drink.

**An invitation to attune to the rhythms and cycles of nature, and explore your relationship to time through the power of Bohm dialogue** **Worm Time Dialogues - Beltane** _“Psychological experiences that are not properly “digested” can work in the mind as viruses do in the body.” - David Bohm_ **What is a Worm Time dialogue?** This workshop is an invitation to slow down, listen, reflect, share and connect with yourself, others and the world around you. It is grounded in the principles and practice of Bohm Dialogue - a facilitated listening practice that allows individuals to develop communication, thinking and relating skills and groups to deeply enquire together, share meaning and create new thinking. It combines this with the emergent philosophy of '[Worm Time](https://www.creatingmeaning.club/worm-time-1).' Worm Time, formerly known as ‘doing nothing,’ is a period of creative rest, where we can -_metabolise _our experiences -_compost_ our thoughts and feelings -_turn over_ new ideas Like the magically complex world that exists in the soil under our feet, allowing ourselves creative rest, is the time for the invisible ‘work’ to take place. The integration of our outer and inner worlds. This Worm Time dialogue will draw inspiration from the wheel of the year, and the energy and wisdom available to us at Beltane. Together we will explore what we can learn and experience by paying attention to nature's rhythms. _“Those who flow as life flows know they need no other force.” - Lao Tzu_ **Session overview** The session will begin with a series of short framing exercises, individually, in pairs and small groups. These simple creative exercises are designed to cultivate curiosity and stimulate deeper thinking on universal experiences and feelings that can be explored in more depth during the dialogue. The dialogue itself is practised in a circle: creating an inclusive and non-hierarchical space. The process requires deep listening that allows for inquiry into what is important to individuals and the group. Participants are not required to speak unless they feel moved to do so; the group will follow the ‘flow of meaning’ and moments of silence are welcome. Dialogue does not require agreement during the process or specific outcomes. However, it does require a willingness to participate with respect, openness and non-judgement. **A note on pricing** I believe that the world urgently needs more dialogue, and that the experience and skills of dialogue should be accessible to anyone. I keep my public facing dialogue workshops as low-cost as possible, to cover the cost of venue hire for in-person workshops and a small contribution for online sessions. - If the cost is still inaccessible to you and you would like to attend please get in touch. - If you are an organisation and would like to discuss how dialogue could benefit you please get in touch. My facilitation and dialogue work in organisations is what allows me to offer low-cost public dialogues. [jessica@creatingmeaning.club](mailto:jessica@creatingmeaning.club)
**Aliveness is the erotic pulsation within every cell**. It is found in the quiet moments of intimacy you have with yourself, in creativity, and in the simple beauty of being connected to nature. As we move through Spring, there is a natural invitation to open and to soften. To let what has been held or dormant begin to breathe again. But opening is vulnerable, and many women have learned to protect their hearts instead. To close, to armour, to stay in control rather than risk being fully felt. And that didn’t come from nowhere. Your heart has known heartbreak, loss, rejection, loneliness, and disconnection. It has held all of it. So it created protections. Some subtle, some strong. Patterns of holding, bracing, pulling away, or gripping tightly to feel safe. This temple is not about forcing those protections open or trying to bypass them. It is about meeting them with care, and slowly creating enough safety in your body that they no longer need to lead. **Because true aliveness comes from openness**. It comes from being able to feel your heart without shutting it down. From trusting how you attach instead of abandoning yourself or holding on in fear. From letting your desires exist without shame, and allowing your joy to be bigger than the pain you have experienced. In a world that teaches you to stay guarded and disconnected from your body, choosing to live with an open heart is powerful. Choosing to feel is powerful. Choosing to let your heart lead again is powerful. This is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning to the part of you that already knows how to love, feel, and be fully alive, and learning how to feel safe enough to stay there. Join us in temple to explore where your own aliveness is and how that wishes to be offered and expressed in your creativity, relationships and life. No experience needed, come as you are. Get ready for the gardening season with Community **Compost Value Day**! **The London Community Resource Centre (LCRC)** and the **Thames Region Ecological Association (TREA**) are excited to host this annual event, featuring high-quality compost generously **donated by TRY Recycling**. This initiative provides Londoners with nutrient-rich organic matter to help local gardens flourish while supporting community food and environmental programs. ### ### Event Details - Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026 - Time: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) - Location: Richmond North Office Centre parking lot, 235 North Centre Road - North-East corner of Fanshawe Park Road and Richmond Street, behind the Loblaws at Masonville - This location is easily accessible by London Transit - No sign-up required ### ### About the Compost The compost provided at this event is created from London’s own yard waste and leaves. Note that this specific material is derived strictly from yard waste and does not contain Green Bin organic materials. Compost is a vital soil amendment that improves the overall health of your garden. By adding organic matter back into the earth, you help your soil retain moisture, improve its structure, and provide a slow-release source of essential nutrients for your plants. It is particularly effective for breaking up heavy clay or adding body to sandy soils. ### ### Recommended Mixing Ratios and Soil Blends To achieve the best results for your specific project, consider these mixing options: - Potting Mix for Containers: For pots or raised beds, mix 1 part compost with 1 part peat moss and 1 part perlite. This blend ensures a lightweight environment with excellent drainage for developing roots. - Garden Bed Refresh: To revitalise existing outdoor soil, mix 1 part compost with 2 parts black earth or topsoil. - Lawn Care: Use the compost as a top-dressing by spreading a thin layer (approximately 1 centimetre) over your grass. Gently rake it in to encourage a healthier, greener lawn. ### ### Logistics and Donations The compost is distributed to the community in exchange for monetary donations. These funds are essential in helping LCRC and TREA reach their goals regarding food security, community education, and environmental advocacy. - Please bring your own containers or bags from home to fill. - If you do not have a container, we will have bags available on-site for a small fee. - Volunteers will be on hand to assist you with filling your containers. ### ### About the London Community Resource Centre (LCRC) The London Community Resource Centre is a non-profit organisation dedicated to building community through food education and security. Our Grow Cook Learn program is a core initiative offering hands-on cooking workshops that promote nutrition literacy, foster community connections, and build confidence in the kitchen. We also support the Westview Community Garden, providing a dedicated space for residents to grow their own fresh produce. Learn more at [http://lcrc.on.ca/](http://lcrc.on.ca/). ### ### About the Thames Region Ecological Association (TREA) The Thames Region Ecological Association has been a leading environmental voice in London for over 30 years. TREA focuses on community education and action regarding waste reduction, sustainable transportation, and local ecological health. Their work empowers residents to take practical steps toward a more sustainable lifestyle and protects our regional environment. Learn more at [https://www.trea.ca/](https://www.trea.ca/).

This year we will be cycling through the wheel of the year very intentionally. Not only will we be diving into the teachings of each turning and the accompanying deities that we can draw on for deeper understanding of the Sabbat, but we will also embark upon an elemental initiation as we pass through air, fire, water earth & spirit. The initiation into the elements will consist of a series of guided journeys to meet the elemental spirits guiding us through this incarnation whilst celebrating and observing the Wheel of the Year and traditional Sabbats in our circle. We will experience a personal spiritual connection to the fundamental forces of creation and as we focus in turn on each element, exploring individual pathways whilst being supported by the group. New and/or existing practices will reveal themselves and help us transform into fully developed beings grounded in Earth, passionate as Fire, light as Air and free flowing as Water, in harmony with the Spirit of all. In the Third session, at Beltane, we will be moving on to exploring our journeys with the elemental spirit of Fire . In addition we will be looking at **The Name of the Sabbat itself** **Beltane** **Beltane** (often spelled _Beltain_ or _Bealtaine_) comes from Old Irish and is usually understood as **“bright fire”** or **“Bel’s fire.”** - **“Bel”** is linked to the ancient Celtic deity Belenus, associated with light, healing, and the sun. - **“teine” (or “tene”)** means **fire**. Beltane is one of the cross quarter Sabbats which are all fire festivals. But of all of them Beltane is the **festival of sacred fire** —a time when people lit great bonfires to mark the turning into summer, to bless the land, and to honour life’s fertility and vitality. Traditionally, communities would: - Light twin fires and pass between them for **protection and purification** - Drive cattle between the flames to **bless and safeguard them** - Celebrate **fertility, union, and the rising life force** in the land Beltane sits opposite Samhain on the wheel of the year—where Samhain opens the dark half, Beltane throws open the gates to the **light, fertile half of the year**. If you strip it right back, Beltane means: **the fire that brings life back into full bloom.** Deities of this time are: - **Belenus — sun, vitality, bright fire** - **Green Man — nature, growth, wild life** - **Cernunnos — fertility, instinct, abundance** - **May Queen — bloom, beauty, flowering** - **Aphrodite — love, sensuality, attraction** - **Venus — desire, magnetism, pleasure** - **Hathor — joy, dance, fertility** - **Isis — creation, devotion, sacred union** - **Persephone — return, bloom, renewal** - **Dionysus — ecstasy, freedom, wildness** The overarching theme across all these figures is the **full expression of life, desire, sensuality, and creation** as the earth comes into bloom. * * * We really hope you will journey with us through all the elements and Sabbats however life is life and not everyone will be able to make every ritual. But for the best chance of managing this here are the dates for the whole year: 7th February **Imbolc Air Journey** 21st March Ostara 2nd May **Beltane Fire Journey** 27th June Litha 1st August **Lammas Water Journey** 26th September Mabon 7th November Samhain **Earth Journey** TBC Yule & the 12 nights TBC Jan/Feb 2027 **Spirit Journey** TBC March celebration and completion of the initiation This is going to be a beautiful journey and we hope to see you there Much love Kim and Deli
After a highly successful, sold out launch event, Human Connections is back to offer you an immersive in-person experiment in connecting with others through presence and play. Beltane, celebrated on May 1st, marks the midpoint between spring equinox and summer solstice; the peak of spring and the earth's fertile abundance. In this fun and uplifting afternoon, there will be a flow of activities that bring people together in a fun and easeful way. Sometimes as a whole group, sometimes in small groups and sometimes in pairs, there will be a mixture of laughter, embodiment, conscious touch, breath work, heartfelt dialogue, inquiry, movement and relaxation. It will be a journey of authentic and compassionate relating, coming together in different configurations and exploring connecting in different ways. Within the weave, there will also be individual reflection and relaxation to build greater connection with ourselves. At the end, there will be time to mingle whilst sharing some drinks and superfood snacks (included). Come as you are, and leave feeling refreshed, seen, and truly connected. Feedback from previous participants - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Thank you for a great afternoon of human connections… There was a lot of laughter on my part, some safely held out of my comfort zone moments, and a great sense of community even amongst mainly strangers. Ollie’s fun and cleverly designed games were great to allow play and let go of resistance and self consciousness , and Erika’s gentle movements and invitations to pause and breathe were very welcome and made us feel safe. Both of you held the space beautifully with obvious experience and care- this created a beautiful sense of ease and warmth. Thank you!” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I really enjoyed this event - you managed to create an atmosphere that felt safe and relaxing. Your mix of activities was well judged, there was quite a bit of fun and laughter, but also some that facilitated connections that went a bit deeper, felt more meaningful. But none felt too challenging or edgy, I did not see anybody who declined to take part in any of the activities. Afterwards I felt "that was a great way to spend an afternoon" - both enjoyable and uplifting. So well done - more of the same please :-). I will come again..." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I loved this workshop. It was held with warmth, lightness, inclusivity, humility, compassion, playfulness and fun which led to a deep sense of safety and joy in the group.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “This was a very deeply touching experience, far more than I was expecting. Heart opening and connecting and human. Very beautifully held, safe and tender and playful. Erika and Ollie were brilliant. I would definitely recommend this and will be going back for more. Thank you :-)” \*This workshop does not include sexual touch. This session is an invitation to gently release what no longer belongs to you and create space for what is ready to unfold. As late spring arrives, nature reminds us of the quiet cycles of renewal. Just as trees shed what is no longer needed, the body too knows when it is time to let go. Through conscious connected breathwork and sacred sound, we create a grounded and supportive space for release, openness, and renewal. The breath becomes a guide, helping you soften the layers that may have been held through winter and early spring, old patterns, old stories, old emotional weight, so that something more authentic can emerge. This is a deeply restorative breathwork and sound journey, open to all levels of experience. No previous breathwork experience is needed. **What to Expect** We’ll begin by gently connecting with the body, arriving into presence and awakening awareness. A meditative sound journey will follow, opening the heart and creating spaciousness for deeper rest. The heart of the experience is a 40-minute Conscious Connected Breathwork session—an invitation to release old patterns, meet unspoken emotions, and reconnect with the deep wisdom already within you. We’ll end with a sharing circle to integrate and connect in community. Led by Breathwork Facilitator Nadia from the Healing Journeys, this session includes: ✨ Embodiment practice – Reconnect with your body and gently open emotional pathways ✨ Sound Meditation – Rest into healing frequencies that calm the nervous system and open the heart ✨ Conscious Connected Breathwork – Journey inward through the breath to release, restore, and realign
