Life & Breath: Dreamshadow Transpersonal Breathwork Film Screening (Free Event)
# **Life & Breath: Dreamshadow Transpersonal Breathwork Film Screening** ### **A special film screening and live Q&A exploring breathwork, altered states, and the transformative potential of embodied practice** What happens when we step beyond words and into direct experience? Breathwork has emerged as one of the most compelling approaches for exploring altered states of consciousness, emotional healing, and personal transformation. Yet despite its growing popularity, few people have had the opportunity to witness what actually unfolds inside a breathwork session. _Life & Breath_ offers a rare window into that world. This special online event features a full screening of the documentary, which follows participants, facilitators, and researchers as they navigate the profound experiences that can emerge through conscious breathing practices. The film moves beyond abstract discussions of healing and transformation, bringing viewers directly into the breathwork room and the human stories that unfold within it. Following the screening, we will be joined live by filmmaker Mustapha Khan and Dreamshadow founders Lenny and Elizabeth Gibson for a discussion exploring the themes raised by the film, the role of breathwork in contemporary wellbeing and psychedelic culture, and the experiential approach at the heart of the upcoming EPIC Dreamshadow Summer School workshop. Whether you are curious about breathwork, interested in altered states, or considering attending the summer school, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with the people, practices, and ideas shaping this growing field. ### **What we’ll explore** - The transformative potential of breathwork and non-pharmacological altered states - What _Life & Breath_ reveals about healing, self-discovery, and human resilience - The emotional, psychological, and relational experiences that can emerge through breathwork practice - How breathwork intersects with psychedelic research, integration, and personal growth - The importance of embodied and experiential approaches to learning and transformation - The vision behind Dreamshadow and the EPIC Dreamshadow Summer School workshop - Audience questions and reflections with the filmmakers and facilitators ### **Why attend?** Psychedelic research is evolving rapidly, although some of the most of the conversation around altered states focuses on psychedelic substances. This event offers an opportunity to explore a different pathway—one rooted in the breath itself. Through a powerful documentary and live discussion with the people behind it, you'll gain an intimate insight into a practice that has helped many individuals access profound states of awareness, emotional release, and personal growth. You'll also have the opportunity to meet the team behind Dreamshadow, learn more about their work, and discover how experiential learning is being integrated into one of the most innovative psychedelic education programmes currently emerging in the UK. Whether you're a researcher, clinician, student, practitioner, or simply curious about the frontiers of consciousness and human potential, this promises to be a rich and thought-provoking evening. # Speakers ### Mustafa Khan Mustapha Khan is an Emmy Award-winning American director of uniquely inspiring narrative, documentary and television films.
