Mantra Mondays with Dilraj Kaur

# Mantra Mondays with Dilraj Kaur Mantra Mondays are an invitation to pause, breathe, and reconnect through the practice of mantra meditation. I am Dilraj Kaur — a wife, mother of two, yoga teacher, and leader of Peterborough's largest people-powered social justice organisation, Peterborough Citizens. At the heart of everything I do is a devotion to love, service, community, and the lifelong practice of connecting to something greater than myself. My relationship with kirtan, mantra, and devotional practice began at the age of eight. For the past seventeen years, I have dedicated myself to studying scripture, exploring wisdom traditions, and learning how to live a life rooted in practice, contemplation, and oneness. My path is grounded in Sikh philosophy and its understanding of the Divine present within all of creation, whilst remaining open to the wisdom that can be found wherever people sincerely dedicate themselves to love, service, humility, and truth. I believe wisdom is not only found in moments of peace and devotion, but also in chaos, challenge, and suffering. Often it is through life's greatest difficulties that we are invited to soften, surrender, and remember who we truly are. In the darkness, we learn to seek the light; in suffering, we uncover the teachings that bring us home to love. I do not claim perfection. I am a lifelong student of the universe, learning through experience, mistakes, humility, and practice. I believe that reflective living, personal accountability, contemplation, and daily meditation are powerful pathways to deeper connection with the Divine and with one another. Meditation has taken many forms throughout my life — singing, silence, prayer, movement, walking, breathwork, and the moment-by-moment practice of returning to presence. Again and again, these practices bring me back to love. Mantra Mondays offer a simple and accessible space to explore these ancient practices together. Through breath, sound, stillness, and reflection, we cultivate a deeper awareness of ourselves and our connection to life. Each session will include: • A gentle arrival and grounding • Connective breath practice • An introduction to the mantra and the wisdom behind it • Guidance in the meditation technique • Collective mantra singing to elevate and expand our shared frequency • Space to reflect and share our experiences over a cup of tea from the comfort of our own homes The invitation is not simply to attend a weekly gathering, but to commit to a daily practice and discover what unfolds through consistency, devotion, and presence. Then, on 11th July, we will gather in person (Peterborough, Cambridgeshire) for a community celebration — a chance to connect face-to-face, share food, sing, dance, and honour the journey we have taken together. Whether you are completely new to meditation or have an established practice, you are warmly welcome. If you feel called to join us, please book your place via the Dandelion link. With love, Dilraj
